Prognosis, Issue 12
The latest issue of the Harley Street Medical Area periodical.
While we already have a significant number of world-class facilities and clinicians in the area, that is no reason to be complacent. At The Howard de Walden Estate, we are continually working to bring best-in-class treatments, consultancies and facilities to the Harley Street Medical Area (HSMA), and to address areas where we are not as well served as we would like to be.
In Issue 12 of Prognosis, we hear from several operators who are new to the HSMA, Orri, Cognacity and All Points North. Their arrival is part of our continuing strategy to improve the depth and the breadth of the healthcare offering available. Executive Property Director Julian Best discusses this and more in his HSMA update.
Also in this issue, Dr Emer MacSweeney, CEO of Re:Cognition Health, who have been in the media a lot recently for their work on the fight against Alzheimers, talks on the dangers to the brain of contact sport.
In The Big Interview, Professor Jane Anderson, a leading HIV/AIDS specialist and chair of the Paintings in Hospitals charity discusses the profound difference that art in healthcare settings can make to the lives of patients and staff.
The pioneering ophthalmologist Professor Ananth Viswanathan of the London Eye Diagnostic Centre writes on how recent advances in the treatment of glaucoma and cataracts have had a life-changing impact.
