The Howard de Walden Estate organises, runs and pays for the vast proportion of this event.
However, there are a number of additional people that contribute money, time and effort.
These people give in different ways and The Estate and Teenage Cancer Trust are extremely grateful for their help and support.

Druce and Kay & Co

These two local estate agents put their professional rivalry to one side for a second year to team up in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. The two agencies generously donate all the money needed to purchase supplies for the festival bar. In addition to this, Kay & Co and Druce staff volunteer their staff on the day to help.

'The Marylebone Summer Fayre is the most significant event in the local calendar' says Martin Bikhit, Managing Director of Kay and Co. 'We have been part of the Marylebone Village community for over 26 years and it's fantastic to be involved in such a big way with this year's event - even more so when we know that all the money raised will go direct to such a worthwhile course.'

'Druce is delighted to be working together with Kay & Co,' says Simon Hedley, Director of Druce. 'Although we are normally competing as the two premier estate agents in Marylebone, we feel that this is such a wonderful cause and such a lively event. Therefore we believe that showing a united front by putting something back into both a well recognized charity and the local community is well worth doing.'

'The perception is that Druce and Kay & Co are big rivals,' agrees Martin. 'But while we do compete for business, Simon and I get along very well and are more than happy to work together to make this possible.'

Gunmakers

Local publican John Wraith and his team at the Gunmakers pub on Aybrook Street will be making sure that everything goes to plan at the festival bar. With the funds from Druce and Kay & Co John sources fantastic deals and organises the beer, wine and the Pimms as well as supplying the staff to pour it!

John also pulled in the support of Diageo enabling a second Pimms bar to be located on the new Paddington Street section of the Blue Zone.

John and all his staff work tirelessly to help raise awareness for this event beforehand and help to make it run smoothly on the day.

'I would like to think that the Gunmakers is the local pub for the residents of Marylebone,' says John. 'Therefore, I am more than happy for me and my staff to be involved in any community project, especially when it is such a fun day and for such a worthy course.'

The Gunmakers has been running in Marylebone for 4 years. The pub has quickly established an excellent reputation for its food, which is served every day. 'Most of our produce is sourced from local businesses including The Ginger Pig, La Fromagerie, Maldon Oyster Company and Biggles Gorment Sausages' says John.

Waitrose

This local supermarket is firmly embedded in the community and is constantly offering support for local events. Ed Barton, Store Manager of the Marylebone High Street branch has been participating in the Summer Fayre since the event started in 2003. Ed and his team of staff volunteers join John and his staff to make all elements of the festival bar complete and help run the bar on the day.

Waitrose and the Gunmakers have always strived to be good neighbours and are delighted once again to be working alongside each other for the day.

Waitrose also feature Teenage Cancer Trust as one of their designated charities to benefit from their collection pots in the store. Teenage Cancer Trust will be a feature charity for May and June 2009.
