Shoku Debut London exhibition of German photographer Frauke Eigen, inspired by her recent visits to Japan. The rich silver gelatine prints of Japanese people, nature and architecture are simple almost to the point of abstraction and have a strong emphasis on surface texture.

Annie Ralli, a former BBC scenic artist, paints vibrant scenes from London street life. Taking photographs as guides, she uses acrylics on canvas to capture the familiar bold colours and urgent movement of the capital’s vibrant streets.

Benjamin Davies
With a wide range of influences including Picasso, Dumas, Basquiat and Bacon, Davies approaches the moods and feelings of everyday life with a painting technique that uses his fingers as much as his brushes.

Nana Shiomi
Looking into the Mirror Pond Nana Shiomi came to London in 1989 to study at the Royal
College of Art after practicing printmaking in Japan. After re-examining Western culture
in the early 1990s she has moved on to a consideration of her own Japanese culture using the traditional craft of woodcut printing, but with new materials and tools.

After being made redundant from a London design studio, James Whitaker decided to
document with photography the new directions, from cake shop proprietor to journalist, taken by 24 people from the architectural profession who have been made redundant during the recession.
